Mesitol® P LQ 50% is a versatile anionic dispersing and fixation agent used across several industrial sectors, particularly where resin control, pigment dispersion or dye fixation is required. Typical applications include:

• Pigment dispersion – enhances the uniformity and intensity of inorganic and organic pigments
• Dyestuff production – used as a varnishing and fixation agent for basic (cationic) dyestuffs
• Paper manufacturing – prevents pitch agglomeration, reduces deposits, improves machine runnability, and levels dye uptake

Description:

Mesitol® P LQ 50% is an anionic dispersant produced via condensation of formaldehyde and naphthalenesulfonic acids. It offers excellent dispersing efficiency, pitch control capability, and dye-fixation properties. In papermaking, it suppresses pitch agglomeration, preventing deposits, holes, and runnability issues. Its strong dispersing power makes it effective for pigment preparations and improving color uniformity.

In acid conditions (pH < 5.5), Mesitol® P LQ 50% also acts as a fixation agent for basic dyestuffs, enhancing dye uptake and improving fastness. The product can be incorporated in a wide range of aqueous industrial formulations.
