ESASIL® 301P
ESASIL® 301P is a high-performance siloxane-based water-repellent powder specifically developed for construction materials and dry-mix formulations. Containing 50% active siloxane, it provides long-lasting hydrophobic protection to cementitious systems while maintaining the breathability of the substrate. Its excellent dispersion in water allows easy incorporation into dry mixes without affecting workability during mixing.
The product is designed for use in cement, hydraulic lime, and mortar formulations, where it significantly reduces water absorption and improves resistance to rain, moisture, frost damage, efflorescence, and atmospheric pollutants. Thanks to its excellent alkali resistance, ESASIL® 301P is particularly suitable for highly alkaline materials such as fresh concrete and cement-based products. After curing, it reacts with atmospheric moisture to form a durable water-repellent barrier without creating a surface film, allowing the passage of water vapor and gases while protecting the substrate from cracking, biological growth, and corrosion caused by water penetration.
ESASIL® 301P is widely used in ready-mix mortars, renders, plasters, joint fillers, repair mortars, screeds, concrete elements, and exterior masonry coatings. It can also be incorporated into exterior paints based on synthetic resins or lime to enhance water repellency. Typical dosage ranges from 0.2–0.8% of the dry mix, depending on the required level of protection.
