Zinc Octoate reduces rapid film formation and therefore improves through drying. It prevents wrinkling and is used in combination with primary and auxiliary driers. It's used as catalyst for organic synthesis, as a fungicide and in the formulation of PVC stabilizers. This product is also valuable as lubricant additive in certain formulations for his anti-wear and/or anti-corrosion functionality. In this specific case it is necessary to take into account the fact that it is already out of date, which can have an influence on the product's characteristics and consequently on its final application.
